Shopping – 111/366

Today while CJ was at Kindy we had to stop at the shops.  This is the first time I haven’t taken my Phil & Teds double pram!

Nate you were so cute running and galloping like a horse, singing a little ditty and dancing to your own beat about 15 paces in front!  I am not used to having a “Mr Independent” doing his own thing at the shops as CJ always stayed close and never strayed.  But you my boy made me a little on edge.  I knew you would stop when I asked you to and when I did, you would do a little jump and stop in your tracks.  You have made me a parent who doesn’t care what other people think if you are a little loud or if you are off down the isle, as long as I still have you in my sights and you are a kind and well mannered boy then that is all I ask of you.  Nate if you weren’t free to have a little of your own independence then I think you wouldn’t be very happy.  I have become more relaxed about how people perceive me when I am out with my three boys and just stand tall and smile!

CJ this afternoon while playing down in the playhouse you let me take some photos of you being a firefighter and then you came and sat with me and we took some photos together of ourselves.  It might not be the best, and yes it has my nose in it but I love your beautiful angelic face.  My big baby boy is so handsome!

Connor you were happily playing outside today in the nice Autumn sunshine.  Nate had emptied absolutely all the sports equipment out of the box and you thought this was fantastic.  So here you are, our little footballer!?… maybe the wrong code though.

  1. love love the photo of Connor! Your words about shopping sung home to me…agree 100% – My girls are so much better behaved when they have that little bit of independence then being strapped in….let them be freeeee! (and if naughty…we can just pretend they are not ours lol)

  2. I love the shopping photo. All the aisles and space to run around in (and get lost in!). Great perspective.
I also love the photo with your nose in it. It’s nice to get a bit of the photographer in the shot sometimes, to remind us we do exist! I’m sure it will be appreciated in years to come. x
